Let’s first understand what just happened.
Over the past 3-4 years the AI bubble expanded.
From a basic chatbot; to tools that help you code better, write better, edit better, do your job better; to the fucking government of the United Fucking States of America SUSPENDING access to a new LLM model because it’s so powerful, it can change the course of geopolitics.
If it can impact a country, imagine what it can do for your work. And I don’t need to imagine because I was knees deep into Fable 5 before they killed it.
The level of power and intelligence that it had it was insane. I coupled it with ultracode mode in Claude Code and I launched 29 instances of Fable 5. It took over 1h to finish the job, but the result was incredible. I basically had the complete map of all the existing bugs in a production project and also how to fix them. Insanity.
One thing it also did is completely nuke all my tokens. Yes, it’s powerful, but also expensive.
But it was so powerful that I was willing to pay whatever the price just to use it 24/7 and build a fucking empire.
At first I thought that I’m just easily impressed. But then this morning I tried to continue working on that project and, to my surprise, the model was gone.
Then I saw this post on X:
What’s even more insane is that one of Anthropic’s own developers can’t use the company’s own AI because he’s not american:
So not only was I right to be impressed by the capabilities of Fable 5, but also the fucking government of United States of fucking America CONFIRMED my intuition.
We’ve officially reached super-weapon technology in the form of LLMs.
Imagine all the things you can build with such a technology.
But the fact that non-americans don’t have access to it is a clear signal that we’re in a technological war.
It’s more important than ever to be part of a community who keeps up with the latest developments in the AI technology realm, discuss crucial events like this one in real time as it happens and be aware of all the recent and most powerful technologies so you can leverage them to your advantage.
